STEP1:
ASSESSMENT

During Meeting 1, which takes place in our showroom, we review the scope of work, your needs and your budget. You may wish to attend this meeting with a rough sketch of the existing floor plan as well as pictures of the existing space as a starting point. If you have architectural plans, please bring them along!

If you decide to move forward, Clawson Cabinets will first obtain a deposit and then take measurements of the space under consideration.

STEP 2:
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

This stage consists of two 2-hour meetings
Meeting 2: At this meeting we will confirm your cabinet line, door style and finish selections and we will work with you to select the individual cabinets, details and inserts that you’d like to include. We will need to determine manufacturer’s specifications for all appliances, plumbing fixtures and specialty items like disposals and water filtration systems prior to this meeting. Clawson Cabinets is available to assist in shopping/selection of the plumbing fixtures and appliances as an additional service.

Meeting 3: We will review schematic plans 3-D renderings and the proposed order as created by Clawson Cabinets and we’ll make revisions and amendments to the order at this meeting. A total of two rendered schematics will be provided. Additional renderings to show color selections will incur an hourly fee.

STEP 3:
FINAL MEASUREMENTS

These items must be complete prior to final measurements*:

  • Windows installed

  • Interior trim selected and confirmed by Clawson Cabinets

  • Sheetrock installed

*Many contractors and clients insist that measurements be taken once framing is in place. If the client insists on this timing, they are responsible for any discrepancy in measurements or changes that occur after the measurements have been taken.

Meeting 4: (if necessary) We will convene again once we have the final measurements and review any discrepancies and revisions that need to be made.

STEP 4:
FINALIZE ORDER

Meeting 5: At this meeting, it’s time to review the final order, sign off on all details and submit a check for the full amount of the order (less deposit). All orders are final sale.

STEP 5:
DELIVERY

Meeting 6: Confirmation of delivery of all boxes on site and…

Meeting 7: Meeting with Contractor on site to review the layout or any specialty items that may need clarification

STEP 6:
PUNCH LIST

All cabinet orders are custom. From time to time, cabinets arrive damaged or errors occur in the design, ordering or installation process.  Clawson Cabinets and the companies we represent are reputable businesses and will do our best to make adjustments and/or reorder elements as needed and warranted. Client-requested changes after an order has been placed will be at the client’s expense.
