Every project has a story. For this project it is one that we see quite often. A beautiful home where the kitchen has been neglected and or has not had a good renovation for a long time. To get started here, we took it all the way to the studs, added a foundation under the previous addition that lacked one and reorganized the layout to improve overall circulation on the first floor and to capture views and access to the rear yard.
The new location of the powder room offers a more discreet entrance as well as a more gracious space.
The floors throughout the new space are a porcelain tile made to look like wide plank wood flooring. Granite counter tops and a new marble tile backsplash create a look that’s enduring and timeless.
In the kitchen, the central table, at counter height, allows for the family to gather for a casual meal or relocate the table to gain more circulation for multiple helpers in the kitchen.
